In a recent interview with Jane “aidKiT” Apostoloski we talked about the situation that emerged during the Funspark ULTI qualifiers as well as the European Nations Cup.

Yesterday’s article explained the situation that drew the attention of the CS:GO scene to five Macedonian players playing together as AIRLYA. Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş and Eternal Fire suffered a loss against the Macedonian, and after the match concluded, the Turkish player used his Twitter account to accuse AIRLYA of cheating. You can read how the situation developed by clicking on the article below this paragraph, while in the rest of this article we will present you the perspective of the Macedonian players through an interview we did with one of them.

Let’s start with the match against Croatia. How did this BO3 go? How satisfied are you with your game in this duel?

“All in all, a very interesting match, considering that the Croats are one of our favorite rivals against whom we always give the fans matches to remember. With the exception of some mistakes that should not have happened, when the whole impression of the match is added up, we are very satisfied with our performance in this BO3.”

After the duel against Croatia came to an end, AIRLYA instantly went to play a match in another tournament. The tournament in question is the Funspark ULTI 2021 Europe closed qualifier where the quintet faced XANTARES and Eternal Fire. What followed was a surprising win for the Macedonians that shocked the CS:GO public and was the main reason for a series of accusations by the opposing players.

How did you manage to outplay this group of famous players who have recently become a part of Eternal Fire? What were their mistakes in the BO3 match?

“Honestly, we entered this match completely dedicated to our game without looking at the names of our opponents, because most often the very thought of who we are playing against is quite frightening from a psychological point of view. As for the mistakes, I have to admit that they happened on both sides, but in the end, I think the little things and the timings decided the winner.

During and after the match, XANTARES accused you and your team of cheating. Can we get a comment, how did this situation come about? Could XANTARES have handled the situation better? What was the reason for posting these clips?

“I do not want to comment on this much. Yesterday I posted a TwitLonger on behalf of the whole team explaining the whole situation. The more we pay attention to external factors, the more people get the freedom to spread lies. “

Back again in the European Champions Cup, your third consecutive BO3 for the day was the grand final against Romania. The match was not too much of a problem for AIRLYA, and more attention was drawn to the break that happened during Dust2. What happened there? How did the admins request to check your computers and how was that done?

“We were tired and we wanted to finish the match as quickly as possible, and if possible in our favor. The break during Dust2 happened at 9-11 for the opposing team Nexus. The administrator who was already with us on the communication program aggressively addressed Daniel “dan1” Gligorov and told him that he had an order to check the whole computer via Discord (Share Screen). We, in disbelief that this was really happening, joked at the expense of the whole situation. The review lasted 10 minutes, so after checking all possible programs and folders, the administrator confirmed that dan1 was clean.

Were there any more negative or positive reactions from the CS: GO community? How will this situation affect your careers?

“We are delighted with the support that we received on all social networks and forums such as HLTV and Reddit. We thank all those who supported us in any way. This may not be the right way to attract attention, but we hope that in the end, everything will be as it should be.”

Kristian “Cryveng” Trpkoski is a new player in the team who has also met with numerous criticisms from some players. Can you introduce your followers to Cryveng, who is he, how did you start playing together? What is his role in the team?

Cryveng is a Macedonian who was born and lives in Sweden. He has never had a more serious team through which people would get to know him, but he is a very good player. Since we were looking for the 5th player, we looked at all possible options and came to the conclusion that something new would be great for us.

Do you have anything to say to the CS:GO fans reading this. What is the atmosphere like in the team after all the events?

“The atmosphere is great, we are more motivated than ever for greater success. The support of the fans, but also of those who condemn us, is just an indicator that we are fighting for success on the world stage. Greetings to all who are reading this, thank you for your great support. “

The CEO of Nexus Gaming stated that you alt-tabbed from the game when the admins asked you to remove your hands from the computer. Did something like that happen at all?

“No, it did not. The administrator never asked anyone to take their hands off the computer, all communication was related to dan1 and they were watching his computer and camera. “

Are you still looking for an organization? Where can a potential new organization contact you?

“Yes, we are looking for an organization that would support us, provide better conditions, and help us improve as a team. Any organization can contact us on our social networks, e-mail, and Discord. “

Where will we be able to watch you in the following period? What tournaments will you play?

“For now, we are playing ESEA Advanced Season 38, which is an unprecedented success for Macedonian Counter-Strike. Then, we have the BLAST Showdown closed qualifiers, the closed qualifiers for the V4 Future Sports Festival in Hungary and the SWISS phase of the Albanian Gjirafa Masters tournament. “
